Broadway First School is expanding its Laugh ‘N’ Learn Nursery provision for babies and children from 9 months old.
The governors of Broadway First School are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and highly committed Nursery Practitioner to contribute to this new chapter for the school. Our Nursery Practitioner will ideally hold a minimum of a Level 3 approved qualification together with experience of working in a nursery setting with babies and toddlers. You will have a secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage recognising your responsibilities towards Safeguarding, Special Educational Needs and other legislative requirements for working with young children. You will have a strong commitment to leading and delivering high-quality care to young people and be able to demonstrate the school’s ethos and values within the setting through your daily work.

Senior Nursery Practitioner Job with Broadway First School
Lunchtime Supervisor
We are looking for a dedicated, friendly, and caring person with high energy to join our team! The main purpose of the job is to supervise the children at lunchtimes. This means that you will ensure the safety, general welfare and conduct of children during the lunch break to support play and relationships. You will also be required to assist the catering staff with basic duties and cleaning in the dining area. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The school is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.

We currently have one vacancy for a Parent Governor* and two vacancies for our category of Co-opted Governor on our Full Governing Board
The Governing Board is made up of a mixture of Governors, and their collective role is to challenge the headteacher, ensuring the school's performance is the best it can be. They also contribute to the school's leadership to enable the school's future growth and sustainability.
A school governor makes a valuable contribution to children’s education and opportunities. Being a school governor is a hugely rewarding role giving you the chance to make a real difference.
No special qualifications are needed for these role as the most important thing is to have a keen interest in the school and be prepared to play an active part in the governing body’s work. Training and mentoring are available and will be tailored to what the individual requires.
* In this circumstance, a Parent covers anyone who has ‘parental responsibility’ for a child at our school which could be a carer, grandparent, foster or stepparent.
